Data handling
See what is processed during screening, where human review fits, and how to manage stored candidate data.
AI-assisted screening. Human decision stays final.
The workflow may process the following categories when you provide or generate them:
Resume Selector uses AI to help extract, organize, compare, and explain information from resumes. It does not automatically reject candidates or make the final hiring decision.
Recruiters remain responsible for reviewing candidates and making every final decision.
Resume files uploaded to your workspace are stored privately on the application server. Candidate records and structured screening results are stored for your review in the app.
Stored resume files and retained raw extracted text use a configurable cleanup window between 30 and 2555 days; the current default is 365 days. Start cleanup manually from account settings; it does not run automatically. This setting does not automatically delete the account or its structured screening results.
Contact support for hosting region, infrastructure security, and backup details before uploading data if your client requires that information.
Resume Selector does not use uploaded resumes to train its own models. Relevant extracted resume text and role criteria are sent to OpenAI to generate the requested analysis.
Provider retention and data controls depend on the account configuration used for the service. Contact support for the applicable details and consult the provider documentation below.
You can delete an individual resume, candidate, recruitment, or account from authenticated product controls. These actions remove the associated workflow records and locally stored resume files. Candidate deletion also removes that candidate’s stored copies from active client shortlist links. The actions require explicit confirmation and cannot be undone from the product.
Minimal audit entries without resume content may remain after deletion. Contact support for questions about backup retention.

Resume Selector supports the first screening step and is not a full ATS. Recruiters should validate generated information, apply appropriate hiring policies, and make each final decision themselves.
No. Resume Selector does not automatically reject candidates. You review the evidence, decide who to shortlist, and make every hiring decision.
Missing or uncertain information should be checked by a recruiter. Resume Selector surfaces gaps and points to verify. If a file cannot be analyzed successfully, review its status and source document rather than treating the failure as evidence against the candidate.
Yes. Set the job description, required skills, nice-to-haves, and experience expectations when you create the position. Criteria editing after creation is not currently available; use a new position for a materially different brief.
The connected workspace stores resume files and structured screening results for your workflow. Analysis sends relevant extracted text and role criteria to OpenAI. You can delete files, candidates, positions, or your account. Read the data-handling page for storage, cleanup, deletion, and provider details before uploading client candidate data.
You can inspect generated candidate information, score explanations, gaps, and the source resumes. Review the relevant evidence before changing candidate status or sharing a shortlist. Resume Selector structures the screening process; the recruiter makes the decision.
Upload PDF or DOCX resumes. In the workspace, add up to 20 files per upload, with a maximum of 10 MB per file, within your analysis allowance.
Yes. Delete files, candidates, positions, or your account from the workspace. Candidate deletion also removes stored copies from active client shortlist links. Minimal audit entries without resume content may remain.
Resume Selector does not use resume data to train its own models. Requested analyses send relevant extracted text to OpenAI. Contact support for the provider data-control details that apply to the service.
